Dennis Palmer of the Selma Times Journal was given an award by V.I.P. president William Bowman for outstanding media coverage of events that increase the independence of the visually-impaired of the Black Belt. The STJ has done a great job promoting V.I.P. and its events that educate the Black Belt of the needs of the visually impaired.
